Ken Nicol & Phil Cool
have joined forces!

Ken Nicol - guitar virtuoso and member of the renowned folk-rock band Steeleye Span, holds audiences spellbound with his self-penned instrumentals and brilliantly-crafted songs.
Phil Cool - the famous comedian and impressionist, shows his more serious side as a singer and songwriter ... although you can bet there's plenty of fun and laughter, too.
Together they produce a two-hour show full of music that both plucks at the heartstrings and tickles the funny bone.
"An Ode To My Fylde Guitar", performed Jake Thackery-style, and the Johnny Cash-esque "I'm So Weary" are comedy gems from Phil, and Ken contributes to the lighter side of the show with his autobiographical "On Holiday In Stornoway" and "It Could Have Been Me", the hilarious, ukulele-driven tale of thwarted ambition.
The second half of the show sees Phil Cool showing off a host of musical impression, including his cruelly accurate Paul McCartney, and a George W Bush who declares to his fellow Americans: "Osama bin Laden's fate can be summed up in just one word ... 'We're gonna get him!'."
Ken Nicol plays the straight man in the guise of a banjo-pickin' Donald Rumsfeld as "George" breaks into his song "I'm An Oil Man".
Nicol and Cool can bring you to tears and yet also lift your spirits and leave you in fits of laughter. There is no other show on the road remotely like this one, its sum greater than its great two parts!
Ken Nicol and Phil Cool are appearing at venues across the country from September onwards for what should be a truly enthralling evenings of music and a little bit of mirth for goof measure. For more details see tour dates page.
Don't worry - there's a great deal of smiling on stage!
